VFF Goes RED
The Vail Film Festival is again collaborating with (RED) to help eliminate AIDS in Africa. VFF contributed 25% of the sale of each 2008 VFF Avanti Pass to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.
The money raised by the sale of the 2008 Vail Film Festival Avanti passes generated enough money to provide:
- Treatment for 5,600 pregnant women to prevent the transmission of HIV from mother to child
- AND a year’s worth of school materials and daily hot meals for 38 children orphaned by AIDS
- AND enough money to provide anti-retroviral (ARV) treatment for four months to a person living with HIV
